What we're about

We have made a few changes, such as where we train, and who we train with. We have just changed our name as well as changed some of the Martial Arts we share our training space with.

Orlando Combatives Club

We are a brotherhood of several different Martial Arts, Filipino Martial Arts, Kenpo, Wing Chun Kung Fu, and Defensive Tactical Solutions. Our goal is to spread the knowledge of these arts to those in the Orlando area. We also focus on getting a great workout as well as gaining knowledge on how to defend ourselves. If it's your goal to either get in shape, learn weapons, Filipino or Chinese, learn self-defense from DTS, Kempo will add great punching, kicks, knees, and elbows to your current MMA style, then come out and train with us. Thai Boxing is currently taking a break, however, they should be back soon. We will let you know when Thai Boxing comes back to our group.

Kenpo

Modern Kenpo was influenced by five cultures: Chinese, Japanese, Okinawan, Hawaiian, and American. Kenpo is characterized by quick, powerful strikes. Students learn to increase coordination and continuity of motion through the study of self-defense scenarios that provide the vehicle leading to a skilled practitioner who is able to seamlessly adjust to the unpredictable and changing variables of an attack.

Wing Chun Gung Fu

Wing Chun Gung Fu is a unique system of Chinese boxing which focuses on three main qualities; Directness, Efficiency, and Simplicity. These qualities are evident in the physical application of techniques, structure along with the practice and content of all training forms. Our focus in training at the Wing Chun Gung Fu Club of Central Florida is the development of skill that can be used for personal protection! Unlike most Martial Systems we specialize on " In-Fighting"/ Close range combat with the objective of overwhelming our adversary at the first opportunity and rendering them unable to retaliate effectively.

Filipino Martial Arts

In our Filipino Martial arts (Orlando Eskrima), we teach the traditional Filipino martial art of Escrima Serrada. The art was originally brought here by Master Angel Cabales then passed to us by Jimmy Tacosa. The art of Serrada is a close range form of Filipino Martial art. It focuses on efficiently defending against a strike then quickly attacking. The student, beginner or advanced will go through some of the following single stick, double stick, knife, empty hands, kicks and knees, foot traps, empty hands, double knife, long range attacks.
