Hey guys we are going to have another LANParty and DaniBoy has set the date for March 21 - 23rd. https://www.facebook.com/events/280257512134008 (facebook event page) If you do not have a PC you can just let me know ahead of time and we have ten spare computers on a first come first serve basis. You can bring Consoles for the console room and we will have two tables for board games like last time as well as seating for computers for up to 25 stations.
Cost is $10 a day which goes to SolgamesUSA Foundation, a 501(c)3 non-profit which builds computers and gives them away for free to other non-profits in the Central Florida area. We average giving away 90 computers a year. You do not have to go all three days. You pick the days that are good for you.

Solgames is an awesome LAN event for all ages. So what is a LAN event? Well a LAN is short for Local Area Network, and a party is a group of people that get together to have a good time. So a LANparty is a group of people that network their computers together in order to have a good time by playing games and learning from each other. Not sure if a LANparty is for you? Well first you get to play lots of games. And you are playing against real people on a gigabit network. Next you are able to develope your computer skills by learning from a group of knowledgeable people. The best way to learn more about your computer is to use it. The focus of Solgames of Central Florida is to support a Local Area Network Party that provides computer gaming and entertainment as well as training and education in repair of computer systems to teens and young adults in the Orlando Community. LAN events are a great time to share ideas with others, work on projects and play multiplayer games such as Tribes Ascend, Unreal Tournament, CounterStrike and others in a real time environment.

This event will have kids. If you have kids under 10 you must let me know first. All parents of under 10 kids must stay at the event with their child. Usually those parents alternate watching the kids while others are playing. Parents of teens are able to drop off their child but must leave excellent contact information. We must have permission to disapline the child if the need arises. (or coares you would be contacted at that point) We hold a secure event and no child is allowed to leave the location without their parent unless prior arrangements have been made. If your child is going to play in the Live water deathmatch (American Gladiator area) we must have a release.

This event will have adults at it. Some adults drink adult drinks. They are not allowed to have bottles out visible to children. All drinks are moved to clear glasses. Adults will be respectful to the fact that kids will be at this event. The swimming pool will be available so please remember to bring your swim suit for the pool or hot tub and or the LIVE water jousting area.

Yes it really is three days of gaming goodness.

Yes you can sleep over (bring a sleeping bag or blanket.)

Yes there will be some kids at this event so hide your adult drinks.

No you cannot bring drugs.

Yes the donation is $10 a day. And that goes to SolgamesUSA Foundation to buy parts.

Yes the deathmatch is real physical bouts over a swimming pool.

Yes you should bring a swimsuit to swim.

Yes the hottub will be open for use.

No the pool table will not be open for pool because it is going to be reserved for board games.

Yes we have bathrooms

Yes kids can attend provided you are aware this event will have adult drinks and they are NOT allowed to even think about having one.

No you cannot bring porn.

Yes you can come and go as need across the three days.

Special notice for Parents with children under 6 *********
We do have parents with kids under 6 and I am one of them. Even though kids are allows to walk freely around this house they do need to be watched. We have one room that is completely kid safe. That room is for the really young kids. This way parents can play their video games and have fun and their kids can play in the kid room with other kids their age. (if you bring toys please be sure what you brought so you can be sure to get it back at the end.) The kid room is usually watched by parents rotating time so others can play. The kid room has a queen size bed and full couch and lazy boy with 40 in TV and xbox and wii. So any adult watching the kids still have stuff to do. We have a ton of toys in the kid room and again this is the only room that is completely safe for the very little ones without having to have constant supervision.
