Some of my favorite writers are Edgar Alan Poe, Nikolai Gogol, Fyodor Dostoevsky, Aristotle, and just about all the writers of "old". I honestly don't follow a lot of the modern day writers. The last book that I have read was The Princess Of Mars by Edgar Rice Burroughs
I would like to improve the structure of my writing, and perhaps even the pacing of my work. Sometimes I tend to " delve in to the scene to quickly".
I tend to write from the heart. Therefore there are many genres that I will cover. Science Fiction is particularly my favorite because it bends the walls of the imagination. It reveals to readers that there is no limit to creativity.
The worst piece of writing advice I have been given was to quit, and to write articles instead. I am too creative to be an article writer.
In participating in groups discussions I tend to both listen and wait to speak. With listening I learn so much about the process of creating characters. With waiting to speak I become excited about sharing all that I have learned while writing.
I am a Cinematographer/ Published writer searching to improve my skills and network with other authors or screenwriters.
