"Engaging Young People with Philosophy and Meaning"

Details
Plato's Cave and UU Inquiring Minds have invited StoicDan to present "Engaging Young People with Philosophy and Meaning" this Sunday morning.
This is a one-time lecture. Open to the public.
At the recent STOICON conference in October 2019, StoicDan presented an interesting trend from earlier in the year. Specifically, how Viktor Frankl's book, "Man's Search for Meaning", had inspired many young people to attend local philosophy discussions and ponder the big questions in life. We will watch the video of StoicDan's talk in Athens, Greece (5 minutes) and then discuss how compelling stories can engage young people. Also included is the theme of civil discourse. In a time when the primary teen channels are YouTube and Instagram, we hope you can join us for a deep discussion on making the next generation more open-minded.
Parking is free, and this meetup is free.
Please arrive at 9AM, because seats fill up fast. The meeting begins at 9:15AM sharp. StoicDan will speak for 10-15 minutes, which is followed by a discussion, and then we wrap-up at 10:15AM. Attendees are welcome to stay for the UUUF service at 10:30AM (also free, different topic).
If it's your first time at UUUF, you can easily find the entrance. On McCulloch Road, look for the red water pipes and the new UUUF electronic sign.
Parking - park on the grass in front of the main building. Walk past the main building to the building IN BACK. The side door (near the shed and the gravel road) will be open.
Hope to see you there!
