ONLINE: STOICON-X ORLANDO (Annual Event)

Details

This is our ANNUAL EVENT for Stoicism and civil discourse.

Stoicon-X Orlando 2020

Nov. 21, 2020 (Saturday)

Time: 1PM Eastern, Noon Central, 11AM Mountain, 10AM Pacific

Attendance may fill up, so reserve your seat. Maximum is 100 seats.

The event will be attended by 5 groups, including Orlando Stoics, Tampa Stoics, and Minnesota Stoics. We will also have people from academia and Stoic groups from around the world.

The presenters will teach Stoic tools to reduce anger and stress in your life, improve your reasoning skills, and increase tranquility. Overall, we will learn how Stoicism teaches moderation in all aspects of life.

Presenters (confirmed): Donald Robertson, Brittany Polat (Florida), Tim Iverson (Minnesota), and StoicDan (Florida). Each presenter will have 30-minutes to talk, then a quick Q&A from the audience.

The event will move at a quick pace.

This event will also include a first-time ever "walkthrough" of the Painted Porch, the birthplace of Stoicism. This goes back to 300 BC, where Zeno taught his first classes. It's now a site of ancient ruins in Athens, Greece.

The event will be recorded, in case you miss one speaker or part of a presentation.

The event will also have a drawing for 3 free books near the end of the event, "How to Think like a Roman Emperor" by Donald Robertson. You must attend to win.

The event is online, so bring your own food and drinks. The event will have no food break.
