This month we are extremely excited to welcome one of Central Florida's most influential people, Cole NeSmith. He will help us answer the following question....

“Do Those Tech-Entrepreneur Concepts Really Work?”

We hear people use phrases like “release early and release often.” We hear them talk about “iteration,” “integration,” and “minimum viable products.” But is this stuff really real? What do these concepts look like in action? Cole NeSmith, founder and Executive Director brings some practical examples and advice about how these popular tech ideas not only play out in our tech products but in every entrepreneurial endeavor.

Cole NeSmith is the founder and Executive Director of the Creative City Project and producer of IMMERSE, an annual performing and interactive arts event in the heart of Downtown Orlando. Cole started the award-winning Creative City Project in 2012 to cultivate creative community locally and to help shape the global perception of Orlando as a place known for creativity and innovation. In 2018, the annual IMMERSE event will platform 1,000 artists for an audience of more than 40,000. Throughout the year, the Creative City Project connects patrons with the best of arts and culture throughout Central Florida.

Cole has been named one of Orlando Magazine's “50 Most Powerful People in Orlando” and the Orlando Business Journal’s “40 Under 40.” He is a regular contributor to the Orlando Sentinel’s “Central Florida 100” and is actively involved in cultural transformation through his leadership in initiatives like Project DTO — imagining the next ten years of growth for Downtown Orlando — and as the Creative Director of “Beautiful Together” — an artistic response to the Pulse tragedy in June of 2016.

As an artist, Cole has appeared in professional theater, works of classical and contemporary music, film and TV. Cole also creates large-scale interactive installations and presentational elements for conferences, events, and brands. He is also the author of two books.
