Join the Orlando Devs for a short presentation, a panel discussion, and small group and 1x1 coaching with recruiters from Rezult Group and Tews Company, mentors from UCF CHEI and people operations leaders from ADIBE Collaborative.
Participants will gain valuable skills that will be immediately actionable in their career journeys and job hunts - for individuals looking for a first job, a next job, or a career switch. Attendees will be able to directly network with hiring leaders and build relationships with recruiters looking to place tech talent in Orlando, in remote firms, and beyond.
Attendees will be able to sign of for resume reviews by senior developers and tech leaders from Orlando Devs if they attend the session, and attendees will be entered into a raffle to win swag and other prizes, including career coaching sessions.
Attendees will also get early sign-up information for Orlando Devs fall event series including hands-on projects, fellowship opportunities, and networking social events.

Engineering Network Protocol Clients in Elixir by Carlos Souza
This talk explores the development of Elixir-powered tools for working with a Blockchain node. We’ll go through the journey of implementing both a WebSocket and custom binary protocol, discussing challenges encountered and how OTP’s architecture provided elegant solutions. You’ll leave with practical knowledge of how Elixir’s fault-tolerance and concurrency model can be applied to complex external system integration.
