Details

Hello and welcome to the April 2018 edition of the Orlando Devs Meetup! We're kicking things up a notch and getting more technical this month.

There will be two great talks this month: Matt will cover ideas behind Google's PageRank algorithm and how to use the resulting Markov Chain graph to obtain useful results. And our other speaker Brian talk will cover core security principles for apps that applies to all technology stacks. More details below:

SPEAKERS

Matt Burgess - Silver Surfer: PageRank and Its Applications
Google built an empire based on the PageRank algorithm, let's look at how it works and how we can leverage it.

Matt is a Senior Software Engineer at Hortonworks, where he develops open source software for projects such as Apache NiFi. In his spare time, he enjoys hanging out with his family, playing guitar, and grilling.

Brian Clark - App Security for All Tech Stacks
(Full talk description coming soon)

Brian Clark is a web developer working at Microsoft as a dev advocate. He focuses on technologies such as JavaScript, Angular and Node.js.
