The hottest topic right now in development security. How to handle correctly sensitive information like keys, secrets, passwords in administration, development pipeline, cloud infrastructure? How not to run into the chicken-and-egg problem when protecting secrets by protecting with another secret.

Definitely not in a code, configuration files or on yellow sticky notes. For the last years, different companies and projects have introduced various secret management tools. Hashicorp Vault is one of the most popular and effective when it comes to implementing.

Viktorija is Cloud Security Architect with more than 13 years experience in security. She spends all her time working closely with developers and architects to make security built-in from the design level. Viktorija believes that empowering developers and architects in security tasks by helping with education will increase security level without increasing additional workload. During the free time, she dives deep into Cloud security, development, identity and access management.
