What we’re about
We're a group of local cyclists who enjoy riding together. We ride together and adjust the pace so everybody feels comfortable. We might put on a speed ride where we go at a faster pace, or a ride where you need a mountain bike, but these will be clearly marked.
We're hobbyists, not trained tour guides and attendance is at each member’s own risk and responsibility, including any damages or accidents.
FAQs
- Q: Can I rent a bicycle? A: Rentals are NOT organised by this group.
- Q: Do I need to bring a helmet? A: Yes, please always wear a helmet while cycling.
- Q: What kind of bike do I need? A: Any MTB/touring/hybrid/gravel and even e-bike will do. Planned routes are mainly on road/cycle paths, but may include some gravel parts (e.g. around Maridalsvannet), so you need consider if you want to use a road bike.
- Q: Can I join the ride along the way if I don't want to want to meet in XYZ? A: if you want to join on the planned route - sure, send me a message where exactly you want to join.
- Q: Can I get the planned route as a GPS file for my Garmin/Wahoo/phone (Komoot)? A: If we know the route in advance we can send something through, some of our rides are decided spontaneously on the day though.
- Q: What if I'm late? A: As you never know who actually shows up for meetup events, we'll wait for about 5 minutes post the start time to minimise waiting time for attendees.

Keeping a weekend ride to the Kjeller airport for Aviation Day 2025 (Please check https://www.flydagen.no/). There is a good chance to reach there by 10:00 when the Aviation day starts. However, if people want they can also ride a bit further till Fetsund and then join the aviation day at 11:00.
We will start at Grorud T at 09:30 - please note that Line 4 reaches at 09:17 & Line 5 reaches at 09:23. These are the best options for the start point, unless someone wants to ride to start point (it is approximately 40-45 mins from Majorstuen). Note that bikes can be carried for free in T-Bane over the weekends.
The event at Kjeller is there till 16:00. We will start back in around 2 hours depending on the group and ride back to Oslo.
PS - Time for staying & exploring the nearby areas, enjoying the Aviation Day is flexible.
Note: the Aviation Day is at a cost of 100,- kr. Payment can be made directly as mentioned on the website (Voksne 18 år og eldre betaler kr. 100,- i porten via VIPPS (VIPPSnr. 19199), kort, eller kontant. Barn og unge under 18 år, kommer fortsatt inn gratis.). However, if someone wants to simply enjoy watching the planes fly, they can do it from the streets too.Total Distance: 40-45 kms approx (to & fro)

If it's your first time participating, the basic rules are
(i) You must have a helmet
(ii) we change the pace as needed
(iii) you are allowed to get off and push
(iv) you can stop and rest whenever you want or if you want to admire the view
(v) we modify the route real time depending on how everyone is feeling
(vi) all types of bikes (e-bikes, road bikes, hybrids, mountain bikes etc.) are welcome unless specifically stated otherwise
(vii) did we say you need a helmet?
and most importantly, you will need to bring a bicycle of course, and anything else you may need for a ride.
