Implementation of a microservice using API-gateway, Lambda and DynamoDB with resource management using Terraform
Everyone is talking about microservices these days. Based on the presenters’ experiences converting legacy bare metal server-side application functionality to microservices, this presentation will help answer some common questions about building and deploying a microservice, including: What is a microservice? How is it transformed from a bare metal application to a Docker container to a serverless service? Is a 12-factor application still relevant with microservices deployed in the AWS cloud? How does AWS make life easier to implement, manage and scale microservices? How can Terraform help to manage microservice resources? Other cloud frameworks for microservices will also be discussed.
Foysal Iqbal: Foysal is a Senior Developer and Scrum Master at Espial. Foysal has almost 10 years of programming experience and has been a technical leader in the migration of Espial’s IPTV server middleware product from bare metal applications to a deployed cloud based architecture.
