Meet your Telescope!
Do you need help using your telescope? Don’t know where to start? Struggling seeing objects through your telescope? We can help. We are experienced amateur astronomers with the Ottawa Centre of the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada (RASC). In this training session, our volunteers will be working with you one-on-one teaching you how to use your telescope and answering your questions. Our objective is to make sure you are comfortable setting up your telescope and using it by yourself. If the weather permits, after the telescope clinic we will go outside and help you align your finderscope. After dusk, participants are invited to join the RASC at the public stargazing event held in the parking lot of the library. This event is free and open to everyone. If you wish to attend this telescope clinic, you MUST register on the website of the Ottawa Public library: .
