Mental Health in Tech

Details
Out in Tech Madrid welcomes you to our next digital event, Mental Health in Tech, taking place on Wednesday, September 23 at 20:00 CET on Zoom (link provided upon registration).
Join us for a guided conversation on mental health and wellness, and the unique psychological challenges that may affect individuals who are pursuing careers in technology. The discussion will be co-moderated by OiT Leadership Team member, Michelle “Michi” Raymond, and OiT member, Anthony “Tony” Calderón García.
For this very special event we have two guests, our keynote speaker, Luciana Carvalho Se, Co-Founder & Chief Marking Officer of MindCheck.me, and a special musical performance by up-and-coming pop artist, ARAE.
Speaker: Luciana Carvalho Se, MHFA, CSTA – Cofounder & CMO, MindCheck
Speaker Bio:
Learner, maker, systems thinker, innovator and future tech evangelist, Luciana is the co-founder & Chief Marketing Officer of MindCheck.me — a B2B/B2C holistic mental health assessment platform.
She is an international keynote speaker and workshop leader — featured in TEDx, SXSW, Cannes Lions, Oslo Innovation Week, Lesbians Who Tech, WonderWomenTech, among others — on the intersection of human tech, neuroscience & the power of VR/XR. Her life mission is threefold: to demystify mental health, drive the adoption of tech that augments our humanity rather than muffles or undermines it, and empower underrepresented voices.
Artist Bio:
Presenting herself as a "pop music vigilante", ARAE hopes to drive social change with her music.
The French-born artist crafts trap-pop anthems to demolish societal taboos. Mirroring the anxieties of her generation with an infusion of dark humour, she addresses issues such as mental health, climate change, and gender inequality.
Finding influences in unapologetic figures such as Christine and the queens and BANKS, ARAE writes in both French and English, and like Billie Eilish, refuses to stick to conventional music genres.
