Multi Access Edge Computing and Intel® Network Edge Virtualization (NEV) SDK

Multi Access Edge Computing is an industry initiative to open up the radio access interface for services and applications in the radio access network (RAN).

It enables better placement of apps for better experience due to proximity of the server and offering significant reduction in latency, along with analytics w.r.t network and position. It does enable an IT like infrastructure in the access network enabling ease of use.

The Intel® Network Edge Virtualization (NEV) SDK is the first kit of its kind to provide an NFV platform targeted for Mobile-Edge Computing application and services.

Intel® Select Solutions for NFVI reference designs combine Intel’s industry expertise with the performance of the new Intel Xeon Scalable processors. Intel Select Solutions for NFVI reference designs address the complexity that ecosystem partners face in choosing the right infrastructure, helping to accelerate NFV deployments. Intel® Select Solutions are verified hardware and software stacks that are optimized for NFV workloads across compute, storage and network.
