Camping at Black Rock Park
As many of you have requested, I have added a camping trip to the calendar at a Park that isn't primitive camping. We will be camping at Black Rock Park, an LCRA park on Lake Buchanan. We will be tent camping but they have flushing toilets and warm showers for those of you that like those types of things :-) The tent sites have a max of 16 and 8 people and I have booked two sites next to each other. To cover the cost of the group sites I'm asking everyone to pay $5 per person. In addition to the $5 at sign-up the parks charge an entrance fee of $5 for adults (13 and over) per day. You should plan to pay the entrance fee on your own at arrival. ----------------------- The plan is to meet Friday night to pitch our tent/hammocks then we'll hang out around the campfire. It might be smart to grab dinner in route so you won't have to worry about making dinner at arrival or in the dark. Saturday we can go for a hikes, check out the water, swim, ride bikes and/or just relax. The park also offers Canoe, kayak and stand-up paddle board rentals. Saturday night we'll do a potluck/cookout, build a campfire and do S'mores.
