Because of Earth Day events at the Bladensburg Waterfront Park we have to move our event to the next day, April 14th. Our event partner, We Don't Quit was just informed that the park wants to have Earth Day park clean up activities at the park on that Saturday, so we'll have to move our event to the next day, Sunday, April 14 th. If you are unable to participate We Don't Quit will provide a full refund to those who registered. All who have registered will receive email shortly with refund details.

Join Outdoor Afro DC and our friends, We Don’t Quit for a multi-sport day doing three outdoor favorites at the Bladensburg Waterfront Park.
Jump start your season of adventure by trying an adventure race with or without the race part. Test taste adventure racing or spend a half day doing three events.
This will be a set-your-own pace 3 leg event. Each leg- hiking, biking and paddling will be a 1 hour long out and back route. Meaning you travel out for 30 minutes and back for 30 minutes or when you finish that leg at whatever pace or speed you’re comfortable with.
You won’t need to have a bike or kayak, the park has all the gear needed available for rental. Well do it all at the Bladensburg Waterfront Park’s trail and the Anacostia River.

We Don’t Quit was started to get more African Americans to engage in adventure racing.

Please make sure you review a copy of the Outdoor Afro trip waiver so that we can start this activity on time.

Come out try all three, or consider being part of a team. Either way, you can spend a day of activity.
Be sure to be on the look out for tips and ideas here.
A few reminders: Wear something comfortable that you can do three activities in for the day. Shoes that you can wear for all three activities might work the best.
Bring snacks and refreshments, we recommend a re-usable, plastic-free bottle like a Klean Kanteen.
Bring a chair, blanket, and cooler so you'll be able to hang out with your tribe.
This is not a competition but we're choosing to be outside doing a variety of activities at once.
As with all Outdoor Afro we'll convene our Opening Circle (10 AM) before we launch into activity.
