Join us as we spring into Ramadan with a family friendly guided hike through Huntley Meadows Nature Reserve. We’ll saunter through one of our regions most biodiverse areas and stop toreflect on the renewal that Spring brings to the world around us and the renewal that Ramadan brings to our bodies and soul. This will be slow paced hike that will include frequent stops for observation and light exercises.

On this hike we’re honored to be joined by Sevim of Green Muslims and the Sierra Club’s Virginia Chapter as well as Coach Ola who is a personal trainer and functional fitness specialist with BeFit4Akhirah!

Time: Please arrive by 10:45am to sign in, the hike will start promptly at 11:00am.

Difficulty: Easy (mostly flat, even terrain, minimal elevation gain)
Distance: ~2 miles

What to Bring: Hikers are encouraged to pay attention to the forecast and take into consideration fluctuating temperature and factors such as wind and rain. Please contact the hike leader if you have questions.
• Minimum 1L of water (that’s at least two 16oz water bottles)
• Sturdy walking shoes
• Rain gear/ Light jacket for the morning
