Dinner @ Freddie's!
Head to Freddie's Beach Bar & Restaurant (http://freddiesbeachbar.com/),[masked]rd St. South, Arlington. We will gather on the patio for dinner at 6 p.m. (sharp). No reservations needed. This social event is a great way to meet new people. When you arrive, simply ask to be directed to the AGLA delegation. An AGLA Board member will be glad to introduce you to members. All are welcome to join us regardless of whether you are an AGLA member or a resident of Arlington. Bring a friend, enjoy the great food and drink, meet new people, and catch up with old friends you have not seen in a while. Must be 21 to enter. There is no cover charge and this is a smoke-free establishment. This event is hosted by AGLA, a strong beacon for equality in Northern Virginia. It's an inclusive nonpartisan 501(c)(3) nonprofit open to all lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer or questioning (LGBTQ) people and straight allies. It provides fun social activities, builds relationships with elected officials, and works with civic groups on community service. When you arrive and exit the fare card reader, go up the first escalator and enter the glass doors on your left. Walk through the underground shops to 23rd St, turn right and cross Eads and walk about a block up. Freddie's is on the right. Invite your friends. In addition, as ongoing community service, if you can, please bring along travel-sized unused soaps, shampoos, lotions, etc. for A-SPAN (www.a-span.org (http://l.facebook.com/l.php?u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.a-span.org%2F&h=xAQGrN1YH&enc=AZPLAkVhtAvC3BpO_XfmgfCXGD_mTF6tKeqZOiB6TauYgHrxd4rIMONHfIu2REHDHag&s=1)), which provides life-sustaining services for street people. Or clean out your cupboard of unused nonperishable food items for Arlington Food Assistance Center ( http://www.afac.org/ ) . This event will serve as a convenient collection point.
