As the day winds down, return to our beautifully designed retreat space — a warm, inviting haven that blends rustic charm with modern comfort. Gather by the fire, share good food, and connect with nature and new friends.
Whether you’re chasing powder or simply seeking a tranquil winter reset, this weekend at Sowilo Retreat is your chance to unwind, recharge, and embrace the magic of the season.

### What To Expect

## Day 1 - January 30

Once we leave Manhattan, we’ll kick off our Winter Weekend at Sowilo Retreat with a scenic drive to Sowilo Retreat.
We’ll stop by a local Catskills spot for a cozy lunch featuring hearty, seasonal dishes. We’ll make our way to the retreat, where you can settle into your cabin, relax by the fire, or enjoy a hot drink as the sun sets. As evening falls, we’ll gather for dinner and drinks, followed by a hang out at the communal fireplace. Surrounded by snow-dusted trees and good company, it’s the perfect start to a weekend of connection, adventure, and calm.

## Day 2 - January 31

Saturday at Sowilo is all about winter adventure your way. We’ll start the day together with a hearty breakfast at the retreat, fueling up for a day of mountain exploration. For those eager to hit the slopes, we'll go to Stratton Mountain offering its own mix of scenic runs and winter charm.
If you prefer to stay on the trails, our hiking and snowshoeing group will head out to explore the region’s natural beauty. Options include Sowilo Trail, Cambridge Community Forest, Lye Brook Falls, or Saratoga Spa State Park all offering peaceful winter landscapes and crisp mountain air.
After a day of adventure, the hikers will go for a cozy lunch in town before returning to Sowilo to unwind. Take full advantage of the sauna and hot tub to soothe tired muscles and relax after an active day outdoors. As evening settles in, we’ll gather for a delicious dinner back at the retreat, followed by a laid-back fireplace party music, drinks, laughter, and that unmistakable winter weekend magic.

## Day 3 - February 1

Sunday begins with a gentle morning yoga session at Sowilo the perfect way to stretch, center, and soak in the peaceful energy of the mountains. Afterward, we’ll gather for a cozy breakfast together before setting out for one last round of adventure. Those eager to keep the momentum going can head back to the slopes for another day of skiing or snowboarding at Stratton, while others can opt for a scenic horseback ride through the snowy countryside — a serene and unforgettable way to close out the weekend. Following the morning’s activities, we’ll meet up in town for a relaxed lunch to share stories and laughs from the trip. Then, as the afternoon winds down, we’ll begin our journey back to the city, refreshed, recharged, and carrying the warmth of a weekend well spent in winter’s embrace.

Join us for a serene horseback ride through the snow-covered trails of Echo Lake Stables. Surrounded by the quiet beauty of winter, you’ll journey through peaceful forests and open meadows, taking in crisp mountain air and striking seasonal views.
Perfect for both new and experienced riders, this daytime adventure offers a rare opportunity to connect with nature, your horse, and the tranquil rhythm of the winter landscape.
Please note: there is a rider weight limit of 225 lbs.

Join us for an Ice Climbing Adventure where you’ll scale frozen waterfalls and experience the raw power and beauty of winter up close. Led by certified guides, you’ll learn proper techniques, use professional gear, and conquer walls of shimmering ice — all in a stunning mountain setting.
This isn’t just a climb — it’s a full-body, full-focus experience that’ll push your limits and leave you buzzing with adrenaline. Whether you’re a first-timer or have climbed before, our guides will make sure you’re set up for success and safety every step of the way.
We’ll start the day at The Standard Biergarten and wrap it up with food and drinks at a cozy local spot before heading back to NYC.

### EVENT TIMELINE:

📍 8:00 AM – Meet at The Standard Biergarten (Meatpacking) 🚌 8:30 AM – Depart NYC 🧗 10:45 AM – Arrive + begin ice climbing 🎉 2**:30 PM** – Adventure ends, head to post-climb hangout 🛻 4**:30 PM** – Depart back to NYC
