This week, THE MOVE heads indoors and vertical. Join us at Brooklyn Boulders Long Island City for a climbing meet-up designed to get the community together on the wall, no experience needed.
Whether you're brand new to climbing or already logging sessions regularly, you'll find your people here. Brooklyn Boulders LIC is one of NYC's premier climbing gyms, featuring top-rope, lead, and bouldering terrain across a massive, creatively designed space. The OUTSIDERS crew will be there to help newcomers get set up, pair you with climbing partners, and keep the energy high.
What to expect:

• A welcome and intro from the OUTSIDERS team
• Guidance for first-time climbers (staff and community support on hand)
• Open climbing, bouldering, top-rope, and lead
• Hangs, high-fives, and new friends

A note on pricing: Unlike most of our weekly meet-ups, this one isn't free, but thanks to our partnership with Brooklyn Boulders, it's heavily discounted for the OUTSIDERS community. Gear rental (shoes, harness) are included and available on site.
THE MOVE – Weekly Movement Club by OUTSIDERS
NYC has no shortage of run clubs. So we thought - let's do something different. THE MOVE is our weekly movement club designed to get the community together every Tuesday for something active, social, and just plain fun. Each week features a new partner, a new activity, and a new way to move - from workouts and training sessions to climbs, runs, and everything in between.
Always good vibes. Always community first.
Each week is hosted by OUTSIDERS founder Jeremy Asgari and the OUTSIDERS team, bringing the same energy you know and love from our adventures to this new weekly series.
Please do not sign up if you might not be able to attend. If you need to cancel, please let us know 72 hours before the event. If you do not inform us, you will not be able to attend future THE MOVE events.

This one is for the seasoned hikers. Join us for a challenging, high-reward trek up two of the Catskills' most iconic peaks, Wittenberg and Cornell, deep in the Slide Mountain Wilderness. It's a demanding day on the trail, and the payoff is one of the most jaw-dropping views in the Northeast: the sweeping panorama of the Ashokan Reservoir and the surrounding high peaks from Wittenberg's summit ledges, framed by peak fall color.
We'll climb the classic Burroughs Range route from Woodland Valley, gaining serious elevation through hardwood forest and stands of spruce and fir before topping out on Wittenberg, then pushing on to the rocky summit of Cornell (including the famous "Cornell Crack" scramble). This is a strenuous, full-commitment hike with steep, rugged terrain, so come prepared and ready to earn the view.
EVENT TIMELINE

• 9:00 AM: Meet at The Standard Biergarten (Meatpacking)
• 9:30 AM: Depart NYC
• 11:30 AM: Arrive at Woodland Valley trailhead and begin hike
• 2:00 PM: Summit Wittenberg, lunch and photo break at the overlook
• 3:00 PM: Push on to the summit of Cornell
• 3:45 PM: Begin descent
• 6:00 PM: Complete hike and regroup
• 6:30 PM: Head to a local eatery for food and drinks
• 8:00 PM: Depart back to NYC
• 10:30 PM (approx.): Arrive back in the city

All timing is approximate and subject to change based on group pace and conditions.

## HIKE DETAILS

• Trail: Wittenberg and Cornell via the Burroughs Range (from Woodland Valley)
• Location: Catskill Park, Slide Mountain Wilderness
• Mileage: approx. 9.4 miles (out and back)
• Elevation Gain: approx. 2,900 ft
• Difficulty: Strenuous / Advanced (steep, rugged terrain with rock scrambles)

## WHAT TO BRING

• Sturdy, broken-in hiking boots (a must for this terrain)
• Layers and weather-appropriate clothing for higher elevations
• At least 2 to 3 liters of water
• A packed trail lunch and high-energy snacks
• Hat, gloves, and a warm layer (summits run cold and windy in late October)
• Trekking poles (recommended)

## IMPORTANT NOTES

• This is an advanced hike intended for experienced hikers in good physical condition. Prior experience with long, strenuous climbs and scrambling is strongly recommended.
• Our adventures are full-day experiences. We do not recommend scheduling other activities that day, as return times can vary.
• Unsafe or unsuitable attire and footwear may result in denied participation for safety reasons. Proper hiking boots are required.
• If you have any medical conditions or injuries that might prevent you from safely completing a strenuous hike, please consult your physician before signing up.
• A signed waiver is required to join the trip.

### Salsa city to cloud forest, and back again for midnight.

Your journey begins in Cali, a city where music spills into the streets, conversations last longer than expected, and life moves to its own rhythm. After settling in, you'll feel the "Brisa caleña" roll down from the mountains, wander the alumbrado lights along the Cali River Boulevard, and dive into Delirio — more than a show, a full celebration of everything that makes Cali unique. From there the group heads into the mountains of the Coffee Region: thermal springs hidden in the forest, the colorful, unhurried streets of Salento, and a hike beneath the tallest wax palms on Earth in Cocora Valley. Then it's back to Cali, where the year turns over in the city streets — dinner, verbenas, Viche, and salsa until midnight. The final days leave room to choose your own adventure — San Cipriano's rainforest rivers or paragliding above the valley — before an optional extension to Juanchaco on the Pacific Coast, where the only plan is to have none at all.
