What we’re about
Looking to transform your mind? Become more confident, energetic, wise and compassionate? We're a friendly group based in central Oxford who are putting the Buddha's ancient wisdom into practice in our lives. We're part of the Triratna Buddhist Community, a worldwide movement dedicated to transforming ourselves and world for the better. We run events every week for people to come together, meditate and train their minds - come along and try it out for yourself!

Upcoming events (4+)
See all- Rewild your mindBotley Park, Oxford
Drop-in any Tuesday from 23rd July to 27th August to meditate outside with us in Botley Park
#### Walk me through what'll exactly happen...
As you head over to the far side of the park, you might meet someone else who's on their way too. When we see you we'll wave to show where we are. People will probably be talking and setting up their seats as you arrive - feel free to join in the conversations and ask questions.
After that, each evening will be different, but most will include a short Buddhist ritual to kick off the event, led meditations, some movement, and some discussion. We'll end with any notices, a request for donations, and head off in our own time.
#### Do I need to book?
It's a drop-in class so feel free to join on the evening itself. If it's your first time, you might want to arrive at 6.15pm or so to get settled in.
#### What should I wear?
It depends on the weather... Though, as the evenings can get cool quite quickly, best to err on the side of warm, loose-fitting, and comfortable.
#### What do I need to bring?
We'll be sitting in front of two ash trees on the grass on the far side of Botley Park. If you want to sit on the floor, you should bring a firm cushion (or two) or stool, a picnic rug or equivalent, and anything else you need to stay warm. Or alternatively bring a camping/light chair.
#### Do I need to know how to meditate already?
No, everything will be explained as we go along.
#### What happens if it rains?
In the event of rain, we'll put an update on this page and relocate to our usual venue, Peace House, 19 Paradise St, Oxford, OX1 1LD
All our classes are run on a donation basis. Please consider donating via the donations page.
