###

The tidyverse is a popular collection of packages for data import, manipulation, exploration and visualization. It is mostly associated with Hadley Wickham, but is now written and maintained by several others as well.

Its popularity continues to grow, in part due to excellent resources such as the R for Data Science book (http://r4ds.had.co.nz), but also because of its links with RStudio and its flourishing and supportive community of users.

See https://www.tidyverse.org/ for further details.

Over the course of this year, the Oxford RUG will run a series of sessions on the tidyverse. This is the first of them.
