Title: Deep Learning in R with Keras and Google Cloud ML Engine
Description: If you don’t work at one of the big tech giants, then deep learning may seem out of reach. Fortunately, in recent years the barrier to entry has dropped dramatically. The Keras library provides a high-level Python API specifically for building neural networks, which makes them easy to code. Google Cloud ML Engine allows you to train models on GPUs in the cloud without managing any infrastructure, which makes them easy to train. RStudio have brought both of these advances to R users through the keras, and cloudml R packages. In this talk we’ll briefly introduce deep learning. We’ll introduce keras and cloudml, and walk through how to start training your models in the cloud.
