Title: Building and publishing R packages: lessons learnt while turning code snippets into DepecheR
Description: In this session, we will discuss the reasons behind, and a way to, creating your own R package, through the eyes of a medic-and-devout-cytometrist-turned-BioConductor maintainer. We will also discuss parallelizing code, the BioConductor review process, and get into some detail about the DepecheR package (https://bioconductor.org/packages/release/bioc/html/DepecheR.html), which aims at identifying significant biological traits in noisy and complex data generated with flow/mass cytometry or scRNAseq.
