Title: “Music mood analysis: Predicting mood from Spotify audio features”
Music mood classification can help improve playlist optimisation for music streaming services and their users. Spotify, a leading streaming service provider, offers easily accessible tools to extract timeseries or structured audio features which can then be used for a range of analyses including music mood analysis. In this talk we will discuss how to use the Spotify tools to access and extract these features, and whether these features can be used to predict music mood. The resulted models will be evaluated, compared, and discussed
