If you already do walking meditation and would like to practice with a group, this meetup is for you as well.
Walking meditation is widely practiced in the Zen, Chan and Theravada traditions of Buddhism, as well as Western secular mindfulness groups. You can read a brief introduction to walking meditation here (https://zenwalks.wordpress.com/).
You don’t have to be a Buddhist to join this meetup. You won’t be expected to do any chanting, bowing etc. To unsuspecting passers-by, walking meditation looks just like normal walking!
Guided walking meditation in Bagley Wood, followed by tea & cake in Benjamin's garden (or nearby pub if it's raining). I can give instructions if you’re new to walking meditation. The walk takes about 50 minutes at a medium pace (slightly longer if it's muddy -- and it can get *very* muddy if it's rained recently, so please don't wear suede shoes, white trousers etc.) We'll meet in Kennington. Please message me for the meeting point. There is parking nearby and it's a 10 minute bus ride from the city centre on the city35. See you there!
