What we're about
Welcome to P-Cubed. A Meetup group created by Sue for the beginner, novice, and/or mobility restricted pickleball players to come together to socialize, learn, and play some fun relaxing pickleball with similarly skilled players.
It is STRONGLY suggested that, before attending any of P-Cubed pickleball events, you know at least the basic rules of pickleball, know how to serve, know how to keep score, and know about the no volley zone. There are lots of pickleball instructional videos on youtube. P-Cubed organizers are not pickleball instructors, but we can help you learn the basics. Once you know the basics, together, we can have fun learning the rest.
In case you're wondering, P-Cubed stands for Pickleball (which is what we play), Pouncey Tract (where we play), and Proselytes (who we play with). Proselytes mean novice, newcomer, and/or neophyte. Proselytes are usually used in relation to religious converts but it seemed appropriate since a lot of us spend so much time playing Pickleball, almost as if it were a religion.
Here at P-Cubed, we don’t have a lot of rules, we just ask that you practice good manners, be supportive of other players, and, if you are more skilled than everyone else, play down and help others learn.
Lastly, we here at P-Cubed require each member to upload and maintain a visible face photo of yourself on your profile at all times. Just to clarify, a visible face photo is one where we can actually make out your face in the picture. Pictures where you are too far away, and/or have a lot of shadow, and/or have sunglasses and a hat, are not acceptable. No exceptions. The photo allows us to recognize you at events.
So come on over and play some pickleball with us!!
