Karrie Truglia, joined VPC in 2015 and is a Principal. She is primarily responsible for sourcing, analyzing, executing and management of direct private debt and equity investments in the specialty finance sector. Ms. Truglia also actively works to further develop VPC’s debt capital markets area focused on strategically portfolio financings.
Previously, Ms. Truglia was a Director in Global Securitized Products at Citigroup focused on asset backed security financing and complex capital markets solutions for global and domestic financial services organizations. She also worked in other management positions at Bear Stearns & Co., Assured Guaranty and BMW Financial Services.
Ms. Truglia received a B.S. in Accounting & Finance with honors and an MBA from Mt. St. Mary’s College.

Morgan Edwards, Chief Financial Officer at CommonBond, brings more than 25 years of experience across financial services. Prior to CommonBond, Morgan spent seven years as a Managing Director at Macquarie Capital, playing a key role in the firm's rise to becoming a leader in leveraged loan debt underwritings. He served as Head of Leveraged Finance for the Telecom, Media and Technology sectors and was also Head of Middle Market Lending for all sectors, including financial technology. Morgan was responsible for the origination, structuring, underwriting and distribution of deals. Prior to Macquarie, Morgan spent nearly 20 years at Morgan Stanley and other bulge bracket firms in debt capital markets, credit and portfolio management as well as distribution roles. Over the course of his career, Morgan has structured, underwritten or sold hundreds of transactions totaling more than $50 billion. Morgan earned a B.A. in Economics from Brigham Young University and an MBA from BYU's Marriott School of Business. Ram Ahluwalia, CEO, has over 15 years experience across the consumer banking and buy-side sectors. Prior to founding PeerIQ, Ram was the CIO of Winged Foot Capital an investment advisor responsible for managing an alternatives portfolio via investments in hedge funds, real estate, and late-stage venture capital. Ram is best known for his background in statistical arbitrage and consumer credit.
Previously, Ram was a Senior Vice President at Bank of America-Merrill Lynch and member of the Cards & Deposits executive management team responsible for investment decisioning a $120 Bn credit portfolio. Prior to this role, Ram was a Vice President at the Merrill Lynch Global Bank Group.
As a management consultant at Inductis, Ram advised Fortune 50 financial firms on statistical decision-making frameworks for acquisition and risk modeling. Ram received a B.A. in Economics-Philosophy from Columbia University and is a CFA charterholder.
