What we’re about
We are an inclusive meet up group for makers interested in digital fabrication of all sorts wether it is CNC, laser, projection mapping, 3d printing, you name it!
Our goal is to have monthly meetings to share new processes and talk about making things! We will also host artist studio visits, tours of local businesses that utilize digital fabrication and put on the occasional gallery exhibition!

Polyhedrist - many many sided things! - Talk by David Nichols @ Autodesk
Autodesk Inc, 221 SE Ankeny St, Portland, OR, USPolyhedrist - many many sided things!
David Nichols is a regular attendee and a previous host of the Digital Fabrication Meetup group at Loupe, the automation and robotics workshop where he is CEO and a co-founder.
While “day job” is building machinery and software for industry, his passion for making is an essential ingredient to his professional and creative process.
His art and sculptural work, showcased on Instagram @polyhedrist, explores the beauty of polyhedra via a wide variety of materials and making techniques.
He is passionate about experimental design and engineering, drawn to how precision and play interact in creative processes, and gleefully bounces between and merges digital and analog media. He is fascinated by technology’s dual role in human life—both symbiotic and antagonistic, seductive and threatening.
Come check out this artist talk and review of his artwork over the last several years.
Feel free to bring a friend and a sketch/prototype/print/design to share.
