We are an inclusive meet up group for makers interested in digital fabrication of all sorts wether it is CNC, laser, projection mapping, 3d printing, you name it! Our goal is to have monthly meetings to share new processes and talk about making things! We will also host artist studio visits, tours of local businesses that utilize digital fabrication and put on the occasional gallery exhibition!
We are so excited to visit the PCC Fab Lab and to check out all of their digital fabrication process and how they are weaving it into education through STEAM.
Trash Hackers Collective will be giving a presentation about their work in plastic recycling!
"We are an ad-hoc group of artists, technologists, engineers, designers, educators and learners all interested in demystifying and understanding plastic recycling. We bring our diverse skills and perspectives to gain insights into the opportunities, challenges, and surprises as we all attempt hands-on plastic recycling. We hope that communicating our lessons from local-scaled plastic recycling can help others better understand this issue."
A little bit about the PCC Fab Lab:
Located in the Paragon Arts Center at PCC Cascade campus is the highly anticipated Fab Lab. The 1,500 square foot space hosts the Fab Lab, printmaking facility, and community art gallery demonstrating PCC Cascade’s commitment to art, community and STEAM education.
The Fab Lab is fully equipped with digital fabrication technology, such as a CNC router, laser cutter, vinyl cutter, and 3D printers.
