Who Is this Group?
We are a writing workshop, meeting regularly and seriously, who are dedicated to the composition, development and attempt to publish their work of Long-Form Literature.
What's considered Long-Form?
A novel. Non-fiction, such as history or memoir. A thematically-connected cycle of essays or short stories. A novella.
What's required?
- Intermediate-level computer literacy, particularly with the Review functions (Comments/Track Changes) that are part of Microsoft Word;
- A working email address, and a working printer with paper;
- Submission of approximately 20 newly-composed pages, approximately biweekly;
Who Are You?
Someone willing to regularly meet in person, for the duration of the group’s project as well as your own. You look forward to submitting this or other of your work to agents, editors and publishers. You have the seriousness to give all that you can to the group in order to get all that you can.
Who Am I?
I’m a Portland-based writer who is determined to write and finish a novel in approximately the next year. I am someone looking to learn, build skills and gain courage from the community of all of you.
