Guest Speaker: Michael Roberts
Topic: PowerShell Jobs demystified
Description: Delving into some detail on using PowerShell jobs, how they work, and real work examples of how to use them. Provide some code examples, as well as a workshop at the end. The workshop will guide folks on creating / receiving jobs, and expanding on what is there. The main focus will be to show how jobs work: Starting jobs with different options, monitoring them running, and collecting information. There will also be a section on error handling the jobs.
Pre-workshop: A computer running PowerShell v4.0 or greater.
Speaker Bio: Michael is from the Midwest (Chicagoland), and moved out to the Pacific Northwest 7 years ago. He also loves technology and has had a passion for helping people. This has lead him from job to job, and finally landed him in a full time PowerShell gig. When he’s not scripting, he’s either lifting weights or delving into VR with the Oculus Rift.
