Dads After Hours
Everyone needs a chance to unwind. Dad's are no different. Bring your favorite refreshing beverage, snacks and ice breaker (boardgame, card, or other format analog game) and spend the evening with fellow dads enjoying a night off. If you've never been to Seahorses, there's plenty of street parking out front and on the side streets around the store. We also totally understand if you'll be a little late, dinner/bed time and fatherly obligations obviously trump chips and boardgames. As it is after hours, the door may be locked, but feel free to call the store and we'll let you in. The event is also listed on and any schedule changes will be listed there first. Note: we are all adults here so please be responsible when deciding how much and what to bring, drinkswise. This event does take place at a kids store and they're not responsible for poor life choices.

What we're about

PDX (Portland) Dads Group is a diverse community of fathers who take an active role in our children’s lives. We seek to create an online meetup group to bring fathers together in person. We'll meet several times per month, with our kids, at parks, playgrounds, museums, parent-and-me classes, and living rooms across the Portland metro area. We'll also organize parenting workshops and dads-nights-out to give our members an opportunity to socialize, learn, and support each other as we navigate parenthood. There are not enough resources, social groups, or services for dads. This is a destination for active dads! A diverse group with dads of all stripes: Stay At Home Dads, Dads with flexible schedules, work from home dads, freelance dads, working dads, and involved fathers in and around the Portland metro area looking to socialize and interact with other guys who enjoy spending quality time with their children.

The Portland (PDX) Dads Group is part of the City Dads Group, a dynamic and diverse community of fathers dedicated to being active in their children’s lives and, by example, redefining what it means to be a dad in the 21st century. We have groups centered around major metropolitan areas throughout the United States. Find them all here at

Please note this group is strictly for those that identify as dads, and member requests from joint accounts will not be approved. We understand sometimes wives will try join for their significant others, but we encourage them to join on their own accord, with their own account. We want this group to be a comfortable place for Dads to learn and talk about anything dad related.
