ABOUT PFLAG AUSTIN LGBTQ SUPPORT GROUPS
We are the Austin chapter of a national non-profit organization dedicated to providing encouragement and acceptance of LGBTQ people and their families and friend. We provide free, confidential support group meetings for Austin, Texas area LGBTQ persons, along with their family and friends. If you, or someone you care about, has come out as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, or queer then our meetings are a great place for you to be!
PFLAG Austin support group meetings are entirely free and our Austin staff are all volunteers who care about helping people. Your donations are greatly appreciated to help us to continue to support those who are often in desperate need of acceptance and encouragement and to promote tolerance through our Austin community outreach at PFLAG Austin's four locations. Donations are accepted at meetings and online (PayPal) at: https://pflagaustin.org/donate/
WHAT TO EXPECT AT A PFLAG AUSTIN LGBTQ SUPPORT GROUP MEETING:
Most of the meeting is spent in a sharing circle where people are seated in a circle taking turns discussing issues or asking questions and then allowing others to respond. You may participate in the discussion or just observe. You will find the discussion interesting and you'll feel a sense of being connected to others. The discussion topics vary by meeting and are moderated by the organizer. Snacks are provided and parking is free. We encourage (but not require) you to RSVP as this location has limited seating and also for us to plan the snacks.
