It's (finally) time for yet another PHPJutland meetup.
We're incredibly pleased to have secured Rasmus Christoffer Nielsen from Makeable to give a talk on Scaleable image hosting using Googles App Engine.
Most applications has to deal with some form of user-uploaded images. Profile photos, model attachments - you name it.
But handling images goes way beyond uploading it. Often times it also involves resizing, cropping, compressing, responsiveness and other transformations - not even to mention hosting / CDN.
Luckily in today’s landscape there is an abundance of services and (PHP) libraries which can handle this. But did you know Google has an API that can handle all of this and more at a very attractive cost?
In this talk we’ll go through setting up a Google project together, and show how you can start uploading images from your Laravel application extremely quickly using our package https://github.com/makeabledk/laravel-cloud-images.
We'll also be featuring Jesper Jacobsen from Webshipper, who's going to talk about Multi-Tenancy in Laravel using Hyn/Tenancy.
