This is a group for anyone interested in Android Development, Design and development of Android Applications. All skill levels are welcome. I started this group to help grow the Android Google Developer Group community and to meet other people interested in Android Development. Come to the meet up to hang out and watch or be part of the conversation. Bring a project you're working on. Anything Android Development is welcome (dev, design, how to market your app, etc).
We are associated with the Google Developer Group (https://developers.google.com/groups/) program, and coordinate activities with the national organization. These activities are not specifically Android related, and can cover any technology.
A GDG can take many forms -- from just a few people getting together to watch our latest video (http://www.youtube.com/user/GoogleDevelopers), to large gatherings with demos and tech talks, to events like code sprints and hackathons. However, at the core, GDGs are focused on developers and technical content, and the core audience should be developers.
We will be continuing to study Kotlin. Josh will be presenting, which means a discussion style meetup. Target audience: all experience levels.
Some material will come from JetBrain's Kotlin Workshop. Some material will come from real-world use on the project Josh works with daily. The goal is to provide basics of Kotlin in an order that you are likely to encounter it on a brownfield project.
Co-routines has also been common request, but that basically requires it's own meetup block to cover. So that won't be part of this month's discussion.
