Flutter 101

Brian Blanchard is a mobile engineer at Workiva who has built applications leveraging technologies ranging from cross platform tools like Cordova and Flutter to native languages and tools like Objective-C and Swift. He developed a Flutter application called Golf.iOwe that is deployed to both the App Store and Google Play.

Brian’s presentation will dive into the basics of Flutter. Getting the development environment setup, the building blocks of a Flutter application, and using Firebase with Flutter. He’ll also be live coding a Flutter application that will demonstrate some of the major awesomeness of Flutter, like hot reload, reactive frameworks and cross platform deployment.

You won't need to bring anything if you'll just be listening to the presentation. You can bring a laptop if you would like to get your development environment setup and ask questions. An iOS or Android simulator would need to be downloaded prior.
