The Long Island Chapter of PMI covers New York’s Nassau and Suffolk counties. Founded in 1999, our Chapter was the first in New York State to incorporate and has grown in membership to more than 900 members, representing more than 75 Long Island and New York City employers.

In addition to being a channel to the resources and services of PMI Global, PMILIC provides multiple opportunities for local project management practitioners to advance their skills.

We are pleased to offer the certified Scaled Agile Framework Product Owner & Manage course. Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) has rapidly become the industry standard methodology for large Agile implementations that span the Team, Program, Portfolio or the entire Enterprise. During this two-day class, attendees will gain an understanding of the roles of Product Owner and Manager in a scaled enterprise. Unlike traditional Product Owner training that only focuses on the fundamentals of team-level Scrum, the SAFe POPM course explores the role of Product Management in the context of the entire enterprise. Attendees will learn the key components of Agile at scale and how effective Product Management may be facilitated throughout the enterprise. Attendees will also discover how to play key roles in Product Road-mapping and synthesizing requirements for consumption by Agile teams. Upon completion of the training, the attendee may take the optional POPM examination. The exam fee is included in the course price. SAFe Product Owner Product Manager (POPM) certification is a widely recognized credential that signifies that holders are fully prepared to perform Product role.
