Medicine Wheel - virtual Red Thread Circle

Details
Let's visit the Medicine Wheel through the lens of the Color Wheel. We will create our own simple medicine wheel, using colors that resonate for us in each direction, inviting ourselves to orient to the land we live on and come to center as a place from which to see and experience life in all its glorious color. We'll also explore making our own Medicine Black.
Making art is a practice in seeing. We often want to paint or draw what we know, but the deepest knowing comes from truly seeing. Take some time before we meet to go outside and notice the colors around you at this season. Gather a a few items from your yard as inspiration.
You're invited to Join us for creativity and a virtual Red Thread Circle**
Bring your Tea and snacks, red thread or ribbon, and join us virtually for a simple project & sisterhood.
Supplies: mixed media or watercolor paper, &/or your journal
Acrylic or watercolor paint: 4 pure colors (not white or black, and preferably colors that don’t contain white) that you feel represent the four directions for you in your own personal medicine wheel – from a tradition within which you work, or from the land you live on.
Brush and water
Optional: a cup or small dish and ruler for drawing your circle and dividing lines.
Items representing the elements, water, earth, fires, air. These might be a cup of water, a stone, crystal or flower, a candle, and a feather
**In Red Thread Circles, we come together and interweave the common threads of our stories. Circles are held around the world, and are for women who wish to gather with others as we share stories and a simple creative project which holds the energy of our visions for ourselves and the future.
