This is a group for anyone interested in the practice of mindfulness and how it relates to stress reduction, coping with difficulty and enhancing well-being. We'll have an overview of the research and benefits of mindfulness, and we'll engage in experiential mindfulness practices and meditations. Mindfulness is a way of paying wise attention to the present moment, with a non-judgmental awareness. Learn to experience mindfulness as a way of tapping into inner resources and as a way of responding to life's challenges, rather than reacting. The principles and practices presented in this group are based on the Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) program developed by Jon Kabat-Zinn.
