What we're about

Aloha! Are you interested in trying the fastest growing water sport in the world? Are you already an avid stand up paddle boarder? Regardless of your skill level, please join us for fun, fitness and adventure on the Intracoastal, local lakes and ocean environments in and around Palm Beach County. For those who are new to the sport, we offer Fabulous First Timer meetups where you can learn how to stand up paddle board in a safe, flat water environment with an ACA certified SUP instructor. We also offer board rentals for those who haven't yet purchased a paddle board. Kayak rentals are also available.

We paddle from the Lake Worth Lagoon in North Palm Beach County up to Fort Pierce in St. Lucie County. These areas give us lots of opportunities for great paddling. And don't forget paddlesurfing and ocean paddling at any number of locations along the Treasure Coast & South Florids coastlines! Racing and paddleboard yoga meetups round out some of the many experiences you can have on a stand up paddleboard while meeting new friends!

Come paddle and explore the amazing water environments in Palm Beach County through Martin County and into St. Lucie County while becoming more fit and connecting with new friends that share your passion for paddleboarding!

BTW, we appreciate watermen and waterwomen from all of the other paddlesports. If you or a friend wants to join us in a kayak or canoe or one-man outrigger, it's not problem. The most important thing is just getting out there on the water and meeting new like-minded friends! Mahalo (thanks) for checking out our meetup group.

Spooky yet Fabulous First Timers! @ Juno Park in Juno Beach

Juno Park/Aunt Hattie's

We paddle safely! We will be practice social distancing guidelines. We stay more than 6 feet apart anyway when paddling. Masks are fine; of course. Speaking of masks; does anyone want to dress up for Halloween for this paddle? Put in your comments below! So if you're ready to try stand up paddle boarding but haven't had the opportunity yet; here's your chance! We'll supply the equipment. You just need to show up with your sense of adventure, have some fun and get a nice workout at the same time! You'll get a detailed lesson given by a ACA certified instructor. After everyone gets comfortable on the paddleboards, you'll explore the area around Juno Park with an eco-tour guide who is also a Florida Master Naturalist. Who should come? Any one who wants to learn how the basic skills needed for stand up paddle board in a safe, flat water environment. What will be provided? You MUST RSVP for this event so we know how many boards to bring. THE COST OF RENTAL, LESSON & TOUR IS $35 (CASH OR CREDIT CARD). If you have paddled with us before and still need to rent a board it's $25 cash or credit card on the day of the paddle. If you have your own equipment, please contribute $3, $5, whatever towards meetup costs. My goal has always been to have a community of paddlers but that means supporting the community as well. :) If you want to pay in advance via credit card, please send me a request via text at[masked]. What should you bring? Other than your sense of fun and adventure, you need to wear clothes that you can get wet in. Most folks don't fall into the water but this is a watersport so it's OK to get wet. It's advisable to bring sun screen, bug spray, inexpensive sunglasses, a hat that you can get wet and will stay on your head easily, water to drink and maybe a snack if you think you might need it. Bring watershoes or flipflops to wear before we get on the boards. The launch has gravel and usually folks don't like walking on gravel. When: Arrive at the start time listed above so we can get your equipment fitted and be ready to start the lesson closer to 9am. Where: Carefully read 'How to find us' above. If you have a question, please text me at[masked] at least the day before the event. What to do if the weather is questionable? I check multiple detailed weather and radar forecasts. I will cancel the event about 2 hours before start if I know the wind will not cooperate OR if there is a strong chance of lightning based on thunderstorms heading our way by event time. If I don't cancel the event on meetup; then the event will take place. PLEASE CHANGE YOUR RSVP IF YOU CAN'T MAKE IT. It's the right thing to do. If you have your own equipment please RSVP as well just so I know how many paddlers to expect. See you on the water!

Watch the Palm Beach Holiday Boat Parade from Paddleboards!!!!!

The 2018 and 2017 Holiday Boat Parades were so much fun I'm setting up the December 2019 meetup right now (just after the 2018 parade :) The parade starts in North Palm Beach and heads north to Jupiter. We will launch from Anchorage Park and watch it near the beginning of the route. We know the path to follow to keep the boat traffic we will deal to a minimum. We found a nice little beach to hang out at so we can stay away from the boats during the parade. You will need a good light for this event. One that can be seen by other boats as required by the Coast Guard. Headlamps are the easiest and best for after dark and you can pick up an inexpensive one at Walmart in the camping area. I would also recommend some red and green lights to put on your front and your back so you can be seen more easily and still be very festive!!! The Marine Sheriff's Patrol will be out there most likely so it's important to have our life vests and lights as required by the US Coast Guard. This paddle is a lot of fun!!! Bring some water shoes or sandals just because. If you need to rent a board, please let me know. It's $30 per board. Just answer 'yes' to the rental question when you RSVP. I'll bring a light for anyone renting a board. No first time paddlers for this event!!! No exceptions!!! Donations toward meetup costs from those with their own equipment is always appreciated.
