What we're about

An informal, friendly group of Pagans of all paths who meet for socialising, laughing, sharing of information, and networking. Our group's purpose is to create community.

This is the original Portland Pagan Meetup that has been meeting in person at least once a month for 9 years. We are not in any way affiliated with the so-called "Portland Area Pagan and Witches Network," which is only a calendar, based in San Diego, and of questionable intent.

Pagans of Portlandia Monthly Meetup

Cleary's Restaurant and Spirits

Here is your opportunity to sit and chat and meet new Pagans. We have no agenda, no topic, no rules, no hierarchies, no attitudes. We're just friendly and silly and will try to make you feel comfortable with us. There are plenty of classes and rituals and other places where you can't just sit and talk about anything with other Pagan friends. We're not like that. If you WANT to have a serious conversation with someone at our Meetup, there might be someone who also wants to have a serious conversation with you. There might not be someone there that night, or they might want to be silly that night, but just because we're silly doesn't mean we're fluffy. Make connections, make new friends, network, laugh, giggle, cackle, delve deeply ... we never know what's going to happen from one Meetup to the next. The event itself is, as always, free, but since we are meeting at a commercial establishment, it is proper to buy something to eat. Hope you can make it.

Pagans of Irishtown -- BIG CHANGE

Cascade Bar & Grill

Last Wednesday Night of every month Meetup at Irishtown is no more, since new owners did not renew Irishtown's lease and our beloved pub had to close. Irish NIGHT, however, has moved to a new venue, just down the road in Vancouver. Cascade Bar and Grill is now hosting Irish Night, with A Fine Mess, or New Shilling, plus other musicians opening for them. We'll be sitting in front of the stage. Cascade has been reserving a table for us. I will not be changing the name of this Meetup, since Irishtown has been so good to us. Like Irishtown, Cascade B & G is conveniently located just off I-205, and has a lot of free parking. Cascade is about 1 mile further east on Mill Plain, on the same side of the street as Irishtown. The food at Cascade is quite good. We have been consoling ourselves by rightfully understanding that the magick -- and magick there was -- at Irishtown was not because of the building, but because of the music and the people. The same music and the same people are at Cascade. The magick is growing at Cascade. At Irishtown's last night bash, from the stage, Peter (the owner) thanked "the Witches" for helping Irishtown survive as long as it did. So, I hope you will join us at Cascade B & G to support the continuation of Irish Night, and to sustain Pagan community.
