Most club paddling events are on hold -- social distancing guidelines limit carpools and shuttling. We will soon organize some “no-shuttle” paddling events, (put-in and take-out at the same spot). These will be announced on Meetup and posted on the Meetup calendar.
This is the Meetup presence of Palmetto Paddlers, Inc. the preeminent paddling club of the Midlands of South Carolina. To become a full member of Palmetto Paddlers, Inc. you would need to pay you membership dues. You can use the autopay feature in PayPal (see sign-up link below) or simply use PayPal to send fees to Treasurer@PalmettoPaddlers.org. When signing up for the Meetup please use you full name we have in the Palmetto Paddlers membership records so that we know the identity of members signing up for event for vetting purposes (assess the paddling ability in relation to the class of whitewater paddled during an event). Membership fees: individual memberships: $20, family memberships: $25. Please indicate full name and contact information of the member and the family members to be included with payment.
Fees are used to cover expenses for events hosted (to the extent there are no participation fees or such fees do not cover the total cost), and donations to other organizations (mainly non-profits in the area of conservation of and access to rivers and paddling venues, in the area of paddling education and water safety), membership meetings, member parties, and stipends to paddling instructor and safety and rescue instructor classes.
