What we're about
In the spirit of the "Papers We Love" groups around the globe we want to start our own version in Porto.
Our goal is to help bridge the gap between Porto industry and academics: membership of both types are very welcome; and to dive deep into interesting programming topics.
Within the realm of computing, which is your favorite paper, the one that inspired or taught you the most, and which you want to tell the rest of the group about? Come share the ideas in an awesome academic/research publication with fellow engineers, programmers, and paper-readers.
Present the paper, show how you've implemented and used it, or simply discuss!

We'll be using papers-we-love's curated repository (https://github.com/papers-we-love/papers-we-love) and our own repository (https://github.com/papers-we-love/porto) to keep track of the presented papers. Please contribute by adding PR's for papers, code, and/or links to other repositories.
We strictly adhere to the Code of Conduct (https://github.com/papers-we-love/papers-we-love/blob/master/CODE_OF_CONDUCT.md) set forth by all PWL charters.
If you want to present a paper, please, make sure that you fill the Call for Papers form (https://goo.gl/forms/GA3cCdNuoZqRM0Zk1), or talk to us in person at the meetup.
If you are new to reading papers, please see "How to Read a Paper": http://blizzard.cs.uwaterloo.ca/keshav/home/Papers/data/07/paper-reading.pdf
