What we're about

WELCOME to Parents Without Partners - Where New Friendships Begin!

Parents Without Partners, (PWP) is the largest international, nonprofit membership organization devoted to the welfare and interests of single parents and their children. Membership is open to any single parent, male or female, custodial or noncustodial, separated, divorced, widowed, or never-married..... It is a place where new friendships begin!!!

Chapter 1395 covers Western Cuyahoga and Lorain Counties and beyond. We offer single parents the opportunity to meet and have fun with other single parents through family and adult events. We offer understanding and support to single parents from others who have shared the experience.

We are an all volunteer group so we are open to any event that a member is willing to sponsor. We have sponsored some of the largest Meetups that have taken place recently including: The Goodtime III outing in 2010 with over 225 attending (Multiple Meetup and other Singles groups), Cleveland Indians outing in May 2011 with 253 tickets sold and our Chapter Dances (open to the public) which have already led to few marriages and engagements! We also have held some special interest events that have had attendance in the single digits...but ALL have been worthwhile since our members requested them. Additionally, we host parties for the kids to include: A Pizza Making/Sledding event, A Spring Party including an egg hunt, A Halloween Party, and A Christmas Party with Santa providing a gift for every child in attendance.

We believe in keep our members safe. One security measure is the completion of a verification form during the application process. Annual dues are $40 per family. Additionally, some of our members will not show on this site as they are looking to maintain their privacy for various reasons and we respect that. With that being said - the membership numbers that will show here will always be lower than the actual membership and will not be inflated by the 100+ you see elsewhere from people that signed up for a Meetup group but never participated. Our group is very active as we have events both, during the week, along with almost every weekend. Our members have met, taken pictures with and obtained autographs with Cleveland Indians; Met and obtained autographs from U.S. Olympic Medal Winners including holding and wearing their Medal around our neck(s); had the chance to ride on a B-17 Flying Fortress or B-25 Mitchell Bomber; saw 2 current NBA first round draft picks play in college and had Butler University going a long way or even winning the NCAA Basketball championship in their March Madness pools, after seeing them play in person.

Parents Without Partners Mission Statement: Parents Without Partners provides single parents and their children with an opportunity for enhancing personal growth, self confidence, and sensitivity towards others by offering a safe environment for support, friendship, and the exchange of parenting techniques. ..
