This group is for parents and caregivers of students with what are often referred to as hidden or invisible disabilities: Autism Spectrum Disorder, Asperger's Syndrome, High Functioning Autism, ADD, ADHD, Anxiety, Depression, Sensory Processing Disorder, and related challenges.
This group values neurodiversity. We also affirm that navigating education, home life, and health systems in support of the neurodiverse individuals we care for can be challenging.
Parents or caregivers of school-age kids are welcome to attend the monthly meetup for peer support, to share information, and to help one another navigate the unique world of parenting and educating these special kids.
We typically meet at the Mary L. Stephens – Davis Branch Library large conference room from 12pm-1pm on the first Wednesday of the month.
The group will begin meeting via Zoom beginning Saturday October 10th, from 10-11:30 AM. The group will be limited to 20 participants and Zoom information will be given upon RSVP.
