Talks
- Don't Try These At Home - Learning by doing is hands-down the best way to learn. With serverless, the cost of experimenting (and learning!) in the cloud has reduced to zero, almost. In this talk, Yan Cui discusses the value of experimenting in the cloud and doing so in a tasteful manner (i.e. don't put your experiments into production!), and shares a number of interesting experiments that the serverless community has done, and some ideas and learning that we can take from them.
- The future of serverless: isolates on the edge - This talk will cover the technology powering Cloudflare Workers, and how edge-based serverless is changing the web stack: from the evolution of JAMstack on the edge and edge-side rendering to IoT applications, and beyond!
Speakers

Yan Cui is an AWS Serverless Hero and a regular speaker at user groups and conferences internationally. He is an experienced engineer who has run production workload at scale in AWS for 10 years. He has been an architect and principal engineer with a variety of industries ranging from banking, e-commerce, sports streaming to mobile gaming. He has worked extensively with AWS Lambda in production, and has been helping clients around the world adopt AWS and serverless as an independent consultant. He is also the author of Production-Ready Serverless and co-author of Serverless Architectures on AWS, 2nd Edition, both by Manning. And he also keeps an active blog at https://theburningmonk.com

Prior to her role as a product manager, Rita was a Principal Solutions Engineer for Cloudflare, where she was focused on helping the company’s enterprise customers protect and accelerate.
About ServerlessDays Paris
We are a team of French passionate serverless-enthusiasts and experts. We wish to contribute to the promotion and development of the local French serverless community. We've initially been working on putting together the first ServerlessDays Paris event in April but it unefortunately had to be cancelled.
We do not want the current context to stop us from connecting with the serverless community. By launching the remote sessions, we wish to create new opportunities to learn from experts and network with all of you.
What are the ServerlessDays
The ServerlessDays are a family of events around the world focused on fostering a community around serverless technologies. Each ServerlessDay is unique and not run for profit. They are run according the following principles:
-Local: Run by local community organizers
-Accessible: Financially and physically accessible to the community
-Representative: Be representative of the broader and diverse community within which it exists
