What we're about

This is a group for all those who want to experience wonderful music in amazing surroundings.

Members of the group will receive advance notice of the Parliament Choir’s concerts, have the opportunity to buy tickets as soon as they are available and there may even be the occasional special discount.

The Parliament Choir has sung with many leading soloists including Sir Thomas Allen, Dame Felicity Lott and Dame Emma Kirkby and with some of the finest young singers at the beginning of their careers.

It has performed in some of the country’s most spectacular buildings, among them Westminster Abbey, Westminster Cathedral, York Minster, Coventry Cathedral, the Queen Elizabeth Hall and the historic Westminster Hall at the heart of the Palace of Westminster.

Abroad, it has sung in Prague, at Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris, will travel to Berlin for a Christmas concert with the German Bundestag Choir in December and its members are regular participants at the Anghiari festival in Italy.

Founded in the year 2000 for those – MPs, Peers and staff – who work in the Palace of Westminster, the Parliament Choir now has over 140 full members united across traditional party divides by the common love of choral singing.

The choir normally performs three concerts each year, including its very special Christmas carol concert which in previous years has been broadcast on Classic FM.

The Parliament Choir is a charity and through its links with the Southbank Sinfonia supports young musicians starting out on their musical careers. It also operates a ‘Friends’ scheme for those who wish to support its work:
