New Year's Eve Bonfire @ Scheveningen beach + Picnic

The yearly bonfire at Scheveningen is coming up! Last year was a great hit!

This is a local tradition with the challenge to hold the highest bonfire of the Netherlands. The bonfire will be lit around midnight on New Year's Eve and is free to visit. From the promenade or beach of Scheveningen we will have a good view.

Let's bring some drinks and snacks to share and have a crazy happy New Years Eve together!

Details:

Meeting time: 10:30 pm

Meeting point: In front of Eazie restaurant in front of the tram stop at Scheveningen. If you take the tram, as soon as you get off at Kurhaus station you will see it (next to the KFC). As always, look for the pink flamingos! :)

What we will do: Since it is nearly impossible to book anywhere, we will head out to the beach, pick a nice spot, sit down and have a picnic while waiting for the bonfire and New Year to start!

What to bring: Whatever you wish to consume that evening. Go to the supermarket / eat something before showing up if you are hungry ;)

What to wear: This is Netherlands and it is gonna get chilly in the evening. Wear warm clothes clothes.

Practical advice: Try not to take the public transport (tram/bus/train) because they stop service after a certain time. You are advised to come by bike. Unless you booked a hotel.

BTW: next day at noon there will be the tradidtional New Year's Dive on the beach of Scheveningen. If anyone wants to go let's make a plan!
