What we're about

Our Mission: To bring the excitement of birds to our community through birding, education and the conservation of bird habitats.

We are for the birds! Whether you've been birding for years or just want to learn who is visiting your backyard feeders, we welcome anyone with a love for our feathered friends. We offer free bird walks at multiple locations, monthly programs at Eaton Canyon Nature Center, Birding 101, a Young Birder's Club, and hands-on conservation opportunities. We are a 501(c)3 non-profit organization affiliated with the National Audubon Society.

While most of our activities are free and open to all, your membership helps supports our operations and education and conservation programming. Members also get access to a few of our trips with limited space and a discount on our Birding 101 Course. Consider joining here: . Thanks for your support!

General Meetings

We meet on the third Wednesday of every month at the Eaton Canyon Nature Center from 7:30 PM to 9:00 PM. This is an opportunity to socialize with other birders, get updates on what our chapter is working on in terms of conservation, outreach, and education, and enjoy great programming related to all things bird. (Note- general meetings are not held during the summer months of June, July, and August).

Monthly Bird Walks

Join our experienced trip leaders in exploring a variety of habitats and birds in and around the Pasadena Area. These walks occur monthly and are open to birders of all levels! Please bring binoculars and water. We also have special trips with limited space available that are for more advanced birders. Keep an eye on our calendar and contact the trip leader if you are interested.

Mark your calendars for these monthly walks:

• First Saturday of every month (with some exceptions- please check the website first)- Hahamongna Watershed Park, 7:30 AM to 11:30 AM

• Second Saturday of the month- County Arboretum, 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM

• Third Sunday of every month- Eaton Canyon Nature Center, 8 AM to 11 AM

Education and Conservation Events

We frequently host education and conservation events, whether it is working with local elementary schools or cleaning up trash at a popular birding site. We are always looking for some good volunteers!
