What we’re about
"Big Data" is one of the most popular fields; however, it is also very diverse. Many traditional data problems become more difficult when the data is at scale, and hence most people are only exposed to a narrow perspective of the whole picture. This motivates us to start a big data user group to share knowledge and experiences from various big data specialties. Luckily, Pasadena is a great place to build such a community. In Pasadena we have many tech companies, research centers, incubators, schools, and even government support (Innovate Pasadena and JPL). Moving forward, "Pasadena Big Data User Group" will not only host series of meetups, but also encourage people to build their networks and contribute on projects.
